About Carl Sagan
Carl Sagan (1934-1996) devoted a great part of his life to spread the knowledge of science for everyone. The book and tv. series Cosmos and the book and film Contact are some of his most known works. He focused on the study of outer space and was one of the founder members of the Planetary Society. His works try to clarify the deepest secrets of Science in order to remove most of humankind fears. He also wrote ecologist and a pacifist essays, and though he wasn't perfect at all, he was, as the title of one book he liked to quote, like a "candle in the dark".
